in this moment, in this instant, my heart cries out for a good ole country song…..
nothing quite expresses the angst you are feeling like a good ole country song..
Pastsy Cline—” Crazy..crazy for feeling so blue…”
Pasty Cline—-”I’ve got your picture…she’s got you…”
Tammy Wynette—–”…stand by your man and show the world you love him…..if you love him you’ll forgive him….”
Reba McEntire—” the world didn’t wait for my broken heart…”
Barbra Mandrell—”…if loving you is wrong, then I don’t want to be right…”
Barbra Mandrell—” sleeping single in a double bed trying to forget…”
Loretta Lynn—” I gotta lotta love left in me, so I wanna be free…”
And so I raise my Mango Ice, to the Queens of Country who in their song have exposed my bruised and trampled heart and may God bless them as tonight they exorcise the shadows and demons that have been left behind in my heart and in my bed ……..

Funny that youre having country “angst” at this very moment. I’ve had Dolly Parton song stuck in my head for the last two weeks, even before Nashville going under water… Dont know why, Anywho, here’s one from Dolly: (one of my favorites)
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene
I’m begging of you please don’t take my man
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene
Please don’t take him just because you can
Your beauty is beyond compare
With flaming locks of auburn hair
With ivory skin and eyes of emerald green
Your smile is like a breath of spring
Your voice is soft like summer rain
And I cannot compete with you, Jolene
He talks about you in his sleep
There’s nothing I can do to keep
From crying when he calls your name, Jolene
And I can easily understand
How you could easily take my man
But you don’t know what he means to me, Jolene
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene
I’m begging of you please don’t take my man
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene
Please don’t take him just because you can
You could have your choice of men
But I could never love again
He’s the only one for me, Jolene
I had to have this talk with you
My happiness depends on you
And whatever you decide to do, Jolene
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene
I’m begging of you please don’t take my man
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene
Please don’t take him even though you can
Jolene, Jolene

Well, Country music is not really my kind of music. But when I’m feeling down I like listening to some good old music.
like Buddy Holly's "True love ways"
Especially some “Independet”Songs like
Leslie Gore- “You Don’t Own Me” <3
But also old lovesongs, they keep up my hopes for true love and honesty
Or I hear all songs from ABBA
I hope that you' ll feel better soon and that the songs will help you to overcome your sad feelings,
wishing you the best!!
yours, appleblossom
