Scandal in Malaysia…..Part Two

It was a twenty-four hour flight. I was tired. I was exhausted. I wanted to take a shower and I was excited and nervous to be seeing Jay again.  It had been a month since I had been with him and I missed him and I desired him. 

He was there to pick me up all by myself.  I did not have to pretend to be somebody else.  I could embrace him and kiss right then and there without having to worry about any repercussions.

 

It was about a 45 minute taxi drive back to Jay’s hotel.  I was able to take a shower and take a short nap but all I wanted was to be back into Jay’s arms.  Jay had cleared his day of any meetings so that the rest of the day was about us.  It was lovely to be making love with him again. We made up for that lost month.  Each and every time that we were together somehow trying to make up for the thirty years that we were apart.

 

The next day Jay had an interview at a local Malaysian radio station with  DJ Fiqrie at Red FM, – Malaysia’s top Adult Contemporary station.  I went with him in my appropriate position as his manager.  One of the things I have noticed about Jay is that he does really good interviews.  He knows how to turn on the charm and how to appear very learned.

 

 

 

 

 

 

On March 15 Jay and I went to the Famous Atmosphere 360 @ KL Tower restaurant to celebrate the Birthday of Jay’s co-producer Mahdi Moudini, with Michele Goh, Mahdi’s wife and Kabir Kahn, one of the owners and a magician himself as well.

 

 

 

It was a lovely evening.  Kabir was an awesome host. The food was fabulous and the views were breath-taking.  It is one of those penthouse style circular restaurants that rotate around as you have dinner.

 

Atmosphere 360 is a modern and elegant revolving restaurant situated 282m above ground level located at the tallest tower in Southeast Asia – Menara Kuala Lumpur.

 

The restaurant is furnished in a spaceship-like atmosphere with its magnificent view and starry fiber optic ceiling lights that offers a truly unforgettable and luxurious culinary experience.

 

There was even a piano and Jay played for us.

 

 

It was six  days before the artist and Jays wife Lisa were to arrive in Malaysia.  There was much work to do to get this show prepped for performance. But there was trouble in paradise.  There were talks that the promoter might be cancelling the show due to a lack of ticket sales.  Jay had to take a couple of meetings to which I was not able to go to because according to Jay women in this part of the world were not involved in business, due to the fact that we were in a conservative Muslim country.  I could not argue with that but it certainly pissed me off.

I was in a meeting with Jay and the Video Production guy when Amir, the promoter and sponsor get into a very heated argument in Farsi on the other side of the room.  It was quite embarassing actually to be in the executive lounge of an upscale hotel to have these two men literally screaming at each other.  When Jay was called over they turned to english and that is when Jay came over and dismissed me.  Yes, you heard that right dismissed me.  I was told it would be better if I went back to the room.  I had my fill of all of this nonsense of everyone blaming the other person for all the problems that were occurring so I gladly left and returned to the room.  I waited for Jay to return.  And I waited …. and I waited………  I knew the longer it took Jay to return to the room the worse it would be.  Jay finally returned about 4 hours later with no news other than it looked bad.  The next day a letter was slipped under the hotel room door. It was from the promoter he was cancelling the show the day before the artists were set to arrive……..to be continued……….
