One of the things that I have noticed many years ago when I first heard that Jay Scott Berry had gotten married was how much his first wife was a similar type to me.  We both came from an ethnic background.  I was Puerto Rican and she was Greek.  We both had long, wavy brown hair and big round eyes.  Her were blue mine were light brown.  What I didn’t know at the time was that another thing we had in common was a background in Theatre Arts. She with a B.F.A. in Theatre Production from the University of Arizona and I with a Minor in Theatre & Film from U.C.L.A.

Hmnnn…do you think we could pass for sisters?!!!!!

Now when I found out Jay had gotten divorced and remarried I was also curious as to what his second wife looked like.

Yes, she would also be in the same type of category, thin with long brown hair.  But what really struck me about the second wife was not so much the likeness in looks but the similarities in profession.

Throughout the years my day job has been, Pinky the Clown.  I have been a children’s entertainer for the past 30 years.  I would perform magic, face painting and do balloon animals for children’s events.  I would even sew and make my own costumes.

His second wife?  Well, she performs under the name of Columbine doing magic, face painting and balloon animals in Australia. She even designed and sewed her own costumes.

Seriously, the man travels around the globe to wind up married to  a woman who is a similar type and does the same thing I do for a living?  It is quite unbelievable isn’t it?

But in a sense not surprising. Men with Narcissistic Personality disorder merely trade in younger, newer versions of the woman that they see as the perfect model.  The model only gets broken when the adulation and worship from the woman to the Narcissist ends.

And of course I have to say I am guilty of the same thing.

Compare a picture of my ex-husband, Richard to Jay Scott Berry.  They look more like brothers than Jay’s own brother does.
