Who am I? Hmnn….that is a question that I am always asking myself and that is always evolving and changing.
I have been a professional actress since the age of 17.
I have been clowning around and doing children’s entertainment since the age of 19, my “day job” so to speak.
I am currently getting receieved my M.A. degree in religious studies from CSULB in May 2011.
I decided that at the age of 50 I would start learning how to play the piano and guitar.
My passions are sex-religion-chocolate-the arts- travel and my dog Missy. And now we will add music to that list. Actually music should have always been there as I am a dancer and a dancer must have music.
This blog is where you will find pieces of my soul, my heart, my mind and hopefully my humor……
I welcome all commentary….

Good to see you writing and growing. Of course, now I have a strong desire to go out and buy dark chocolate!!
Good luck with your studies.

I had to subscribe to your blog for numerous reasons, the first one being that what attracted me to you was your name. I used to have a friend called Ivonne Montijo, believe it or not! Then I started reading your blog and was captivated by the similarities between you and me. I never thought I’d meet someone who thought and felt exactly like I do! You don’t know how grateful I am, Ivonne. Looking forward to reading more… Namaste, dear one.

Hi Carmen,
Thank you for stopping by my blog. I am always happy when someone can relate to what I am writing about, that is why I write. I hope that my words, my travails can somehow help someone else out. Thank you so much for your kind words.

Ivonne,
I have just hit the second anniversary of my blog…. 2 years of “a lyric a day”…. 730 lyrics. You have been with me for a lot of that time. Thank you for your support.
With work pressures, I am now moving to “one per week” – although I am not short of material, having been writing daily for the past 10 years.
I read your birthday blog
When I turned 50 a number of years ago, I decided to get an Even Songs logo tattoo as it was designed by my son.
Keep blogging and enjoying life.
David.
btw… I noticed you are US-based. Even Songs is based in Adelaide, capital of South Australia.

Davind,
Congratulations that is so wonderful. How inspiring, I need to devote more time to my blog and to my writing. That is going to be my focus in the coming year. How interesting that you are in Australia. I have a friend in South New Wales that is doing music as well…what a small world. On another note turning 50 is quite something isn’t it?

Dear Bird,
thank you for stopping by my blog. I too have been hurting and I have found great healing lately in other women’s blog as they write about their struglles in their relationships. Honeslty, I though something was wrong with me until I recently learned about Naricissitic Personality Disorder, which I will be writing about in the blog.
God Bless you and heal your heart my dear,

Hello, thank you for choosing to follow my blog! I see we both have piano playing ambitions! how are you doing? I started 2 years ago and, though I’m not taking any exams have just started on the Grade 2 pieces – finding them quite a challenge but loving it anyway! I have a brilliant teacher.
March 17, 2013 at 5:34 am
Well, I can read simple sheet music and I just practiced more I would be getting better. Sometimes I just like to sit and pluck at random keys and see what sounds pretty. When I do practice it’s what I need for school, since I am taking classes at a college.

Hi Ivonne! Your friend, Maryanne, suggested that I connect with you. I’m wanting to transition my dog to a vegan diet, and Maryanne tells me that you feed your dog vegan. I’d really appreciate it if you shared what exactly you feed your dog. That was a wonderful story you shared about the boy with no limbs, by the way. What an inspiration – he sounds so positive! Celeste:)

Hi Celeste,
I am still in the experimental stage. I had two dogs that were vegetarian and I would be the dry and canned food from Whole Foods markets. I don’t remember the brand. I had my seven year old on Salmon and Sweet Potatoe from Earth Balance. I am trying to transition to vegetarian but Missy doesn’t seem to want to be a vegeatarian. And since the store bought vegetarian is a lot more expensive I am trying to see what I can do on my own. I tried real salmon none of the dogs are big on it. So I bought white sweet potatoes, yams, carrots, canned sweet peas tuna for cats from Trader Joes (which my dogs love). I boiled sweet potaotes, yams, carrots and then mashed them with sweet peas. I added powdered garlic, lemon pepper and some salt. I mixed this all up and put in the fridge. I then mixed in the tuna. It seems my dogs can handle this. For dry dog food I have Natures Recipe-vegetarian that I got at Petco. I tasted it–yuck like cardboard but the doggies seem to eat it. Thanks for getting back to me Ivonne! I shop at Whole Foods, but I never thought about getting dog food there. I’ll have to see what they have. I’ll also check out the Nature’s Recipe-vegetarian from Petco. I usually feed my dog half kibble and half cooked food. A woman studying dog nutrition got back to me on my blog and she told me to feed my dog a mixture of beans, rice, lentils and vegetables. So maybe I’ll do this with one of the kibble’s you recommended. We’ll see how that goes! Celeste:)
April 23, 2013 at 6:26 pm
Also I give them doggie vitamins, just to make sure they are getting all the nutrients they need as well and toplay it safe.

Thanks! I’ll look into those too. Celeste:)

Hi Ivonne. You commented on a guest post I did yesterday over at scott-williams.ca, which is what brought me here. Looks like a pretty successful outfit you’re running here, and I wish you the greatest success. I love your passion!
