“Do not be unequally yoked”

Do not be unequally yoked…what does this mean?  The universe requires divine partnership….divine partnership with the self, with the sacred other and with the divine.

Thus to be unequally yoked indicates a pairing or coupling which is not divinely ordained—that is to say that it is not your soul mate…big deal, so what, you say.

Well it is a big deal.  When two people come together that are soul mates, in that union they create a bigger light than if they were alone or separated.

This light is the reflection of the divine light shining through and as their relationship.

Too often we stay with the wrong person for many reasons…..it’s convenient…..we have kids…….I don’t want to be alone…..I’m getting my green card..yatta…yatta..yatta.

What happens in this kind of situation is that you don’t get the double light effect of the divine pairing.  What you get is two people who are only half lights—they are not even one light together.

So you have two people who should not be together and that means that there are another two people who are also with the wrong people.  So there are now 4 people who are not experiencing or reflecting divine bliss.

The numbers rise expontentially…..the 4 become 8 become 16 etc…. Negativity and unhappiness increase on the planet.

But every time two soul mates recognize each other and come together in union, that means that those who are single are two people closer to finding their soul mates.

And as soul mates come together more love and light descends and arises out of the planet into the universe and into eternity.    It is far better to shine brightly as a single light than to be in a coupling where your light is dimmed.

Ivonne, do you believe it is possible to have more than one soul mate? Is it possible to be equally yoked and bond spiritually, sexually with another living soul-even if you choose to go separate ways st some point? And, is it possible in your opinion to have a different type of partner of a higher level/position/status in the spiritual sense?

      Hi Judi,

thank you for stoping by the blog. You ask very good questions and most liekly will find different answers based on whose book or which article you read. Let me distinguis between Twin Flame and soul mate. I believe we only have 1 twin flame–that soul which is the ohter half of our original soul. Soul mates are people you have karma with or a shared mission with so yes I believe we can have more than one soul mate. And yes, spiritual bonds or psychic bonds often stay connected even if poeple move on. Hence, the warning be careful who you have sex with because you will be with each other forever.

Your questions are wonderful and I think I should turn them into a full on blog post.

      thank you

Yes, Ivonne, I believe author’s may present differing views on this subject. I understand about the twin flame being exclusive to only one other person vs soul mate being inclusive of others who share a special bond. Interesting what you said about sex partners staying with you forever. For the most part, I have no problem with that because I felt deeply connected with my partners (husbands). But, at some point, it did not make sense to continue because they did not honor me at the physical or emotional level, much less the spiritual level.

When you have sex with someone your aura and their aura blend into one. It is really a merging of the souls on a meta-physicla level. And when you stop having sex you still have bits and pieces of each other in your own enrgy field. So, when I said that if you have sex with someone it is forever, what I was saying is that on an energetic and psyhic level there is still an energy bond between the two people unless you do spiritual work to cut those connections. I hope that makes sense.

          thank you

Hmmm that is interesting ~ how or what do you do to cut the connections of less favorable energy bonds? Thanks

            • Sex, Spirit, Soul Mates and Chocolate....Ivonne's Journey Says:

You can use a meditation. Visualize a connection or cord between you and this person. Then see the cord being cut, and then see the cord on fire and disappearing.
Then imagine that you are in a bubble of white healing light….ask that any energy that is not yours beremoved from your body and sent back to its rightful owner. I usually see this as shards of glass leaving my body. Then ask the universe/God to return all of your energy back to you. The last step would be to bless the person you are disconnecting from. A good affirmation is, ” those people who are no longer for my highest now fade out of my life, I bless them on their way. Those people who can help me and who I can help now enter my life for the highest good of all.”

              I hope that helps.

That’s definitely an interesting way to look at it. I hadn’t looked at it like that before. I do agree with the fact that many people get together that are not soul mates and stay together for the wrong reasons and by doing so they are keeping themselves from their true soul mate and who they are with from their soul mate as well. I was one of those people with my first marriage. Very good post. I liked the thought concept conveyed.

This is so beautiful and I feel blessed that I have such a relationship with my husband. I wish for everyone to have what we do, and believe it is possible (and can happen faster for others once unhappy people get out of their unhappy relationships, as we have discussed, right?) Someone asked if there could be two soul mates, I definitely believe that because if you live together for the rest of your lives, happily, the most devastating, tragic thing that can happen is one dies before the other. I think then it would be a beautiful, soothing thing to find love again. Of course I’d want that for my husband if I should go first.
